Read Only Files

I am currently working with someone on building a website. I showed him how
to make one using Publisher 2007 and then how to publish to a website. We had
all of his website info (ftp address, username/password), but as it went to
finish, an error came back saying "Could not publish... files are read only".

We searched all the files he wanted to publish, and the "read only" button
were not checked. What could be the problem?

His system platform is Vista.

The Publisher file is on your hard drive when you open it, correct? Did you
check the Publisher file itself for "read only" status?

If that doesn't fix your problem, please post your follow up questions and
