"Record Macro" does not work

Using 2003 Professional.

When I select "Record Macro" and go thru the various steps I get
and error message box:
"Error Accessing file. Network connection may have been lost." with
an OK button and a Help button.
When I select the Help button, I get a help box with nothing in it.
When I select OK, I go back to the project but when I check the editor
nothing is there - nothing was recorded.

Also, the application is on my hard drive and not on a network.

Anybody have any ideas?

Go to Tools then Options then Security

Click on Macro Security. Put it on "Low".

Check the other tabs to make sure it's
not pointing to any weird areas.

OR:

Was MS Project installed by disk or through an
automated network install?

I'm guessing it was a net install and whoever
created the install package didn't create it
correctly and it's pointing to network
resources.

I would ask them to re-install it or install it
directly from the install CD...

OR:

Now, if it wasn't a net install, uninstall MS Project
and re-install it. For project, always unistall
prior versions before you install a new version...

Already did that. And I have uninstalled and reinstalled and added
SP2. Now I get the "...encountered a problem and needs to close." box
every time I try to close. None of the macros will run - I get the
"Error Accessing file. Network connection may have been lost." every
time I try to run a macro.

I don't know what's going on.
