Recovering Outlook Data from Hard Drive

A

Alex

Critical components of my W2Kpro were corrupted. I
installed a new hard drive and reinstalled W2Kpro, Office
2000, all the patches, etc. I installed my old hard drive
as a slave -- and low and behold -- I can access all of
the data. Is there a way to copy the contacts, folder
configuration and saved e-mails from the old Outlook into
the new?? (By copying favorites and cookies I was able to
get IE6 back in shape in no time!)

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Alex.

It's actually "lo and behold". Simply import your old
outlook.pst file into the new installation. The path is
quite long and it is in a hidden subdirectory, so make
sure your folders option allows you to see hiddeb files,
then search your slave drive for this file, copy the path,
and import from the new installation.
Cheers
