Recovering PST

Is there any other way to read a PST other than in Outlook?
I'd like to recover information from emails from a
seriously corrupted PST file. But what other way could the
data of a PST file be read? For example if I wanted to
read a fresh PST file with some other program other than
Outlook itself, what program could I I use?

You can't open a .PST file in any other program...but have you tried using
the Inbox Repair Tool to try to repair your corrupted .PST? Search your
drive for a file called scanpst.exe and run it.
