Reference recommendation

Could anyone recommend a good reference for Access 2000?
Specifically I am looking for detailed information
regarding a good description of all of the parameters
used. I am finding that If I know more about the code, I
can get my self out of trouble, or prevent me from getting
in to it in the first place.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
