Reinstalling office 2000

I am running ME and my Word takes forever to open; when I click on outlook it
tries to load office 2000; when I click on excel the same thing happens; When
I try to reload office 2000 it gets to setup and then won't go to the screen
that allows me to reinstall office. What next?
