Rejected progress updates not reflecting in PWA

Hi PS Group,

I'm running EPM 2007 and here's the situation:
-PM creates task of 1 day and assigns to team member (TM)
-TM recieves task and opens in My Tasks
-TM extends task by one day and marks as 50% complete. Recalulates and
saves.
-PM recieves task update and views in Approvals.
-PM rejects task update. Submits.
-TM recieves rejection and views in My Tasks.
-Task does not revert to original 1 day duration and 0% completion.

Is the TM expected to change the task to reflect the original duration
etc? Is this an error or the standard PWA reaction to rejected tasks?

Ideally I would like to see the task automatically reverting on
rejection...

Thoughts please!?
