Remaining Work View

Hello,

I am trying to produce a graph showing weekly actuals and overall budget
burnt. I need to show this as a weekly status. My question is this (i am sure
it is easy), basically i have 100 plans open in one window with actual work
on the right hand side. Is there anyway of displaying or customising a view
to show the remaining work for the weeks where there are no actuals?

Any help greatly appreciated

Many Thanks

Emma

Hi Emma

You can apply a filter to the view so that only tasks with actuals are
displayed

Go to Project > Filtered For > More Filters

Add a Filter
Give it a name

Field Name = Actual Work
Test = Greater than
Value = 0

Apply and your view will remove all entries with actual work applied

Hope this helps

As an after thought

You might want to add a date range to the filter and apply it to a
timephased view Task Usage or Resource Usage

Thanks Chris,

My main problem is not beign able to see the future remaining work. For
example,

31/10 07/11 14/11 21/11
7.5 30

I can see that i have 7.5 and 30 hours actuals above, is there anyway that
in the 14/11 and 21/11 columns i can see the remaining work. Thus when adding
actual work to remaining work recieving the whole budget?

Thanks again

Emma

Emma

I may be missing the point so please bear with me ...

You can add the remaining work column to the view (table)

Right click the column header where you would like to insert the new
information

Select the Remaining work field

If I have missed the point here please let me know ...
