Remove Envelope in Status Bar for new email item

Chad

Anyone know how to remove the envelope icon that appears
in the status bar (toolbar with clock in it) when a new
email arrives? I did it before, but can't figure out how
I did it now that I had to reinstall.

Thank you

Chad,

I am speaking in regards to the Outlook 2K3 version, but I at least hope
that your version has it located in the same general area.

Go to Tools-->Options.
On Preferences Tab, click Email Options.
Once there, click on Advanced Email Options.
Under the location of "When new mail arrives" uncheck the box that states
showing an envelope in the systray.

I was unable to locate a setting for this in Outlook 2000, and I am not sure
if it can be registry hacked.
Good luck

Robert
