Stevan,
Try a sort by the levels you describe and if you want to make the sort
permanent, check the option to permanently renumber tasks.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

But to do that he first has to undo all the breakdown structure and remake
the new one manually since permenently renumber only works with keep outline
structure.
Hope this helps,

Try a custom outline view.
Select 3 fields, such as Text1, 2, 3 and enter your grouping information
there. For example Text1 may contain trades and you would label each task
with the associated trade. Text2 would be level, Text3 would be area. If
what you mean by Level is "Outline Level" from MS Project then ignore Text 2
and just use the Outline Level field.

Select Project/Group By/Customize Group By....
A window will open similar to the Excel sorting dialog. Sort in any order
desired by selecting primary, secondary, and tertiary groupings. This will
*not* permanently change your file.

To undo this action select Project/Group By/No Group and your original sort
returns.
