Replacing damaged Registry Key in Outlook

My Outlook is not properly accessing my POP email
accounts. The last time this happened I simply replaced
the registry key and it worked again. However, I cannot
find the instructions again for replacing the Registry
Key. Can someone either send me the instruction or show
me where to find them in the Knowledge BAse
