Reporting from the resource pool

I'm a new user of MS Project and need to set up a report from the resource
pool to show the % allocation per resource by week or month. I've started
with a new resource pool and attached a test project file to it that has some
tasks occurring in January and February 2006. I believe the Who Does What
When report will give me wha i need, but after setting the guidelines and
filters (no matter which I try), I can only get the report to show this week
or the month of November. Is there a setting in the pool I need to change?
Any help appreciated.

The project you've linked to the pool, does it have any assignments outside
that time?

Does the Resource Usage view help you?

Be VERY careful with the pool. NEVER over-write project files, rename them
or move them without first having them both open in write mode and saving
changes to BOTH files. The Pool uses old DDE technology and any of the above
actions can easily corrupt your project or pool.

Yes it does. It has assignments in Jan and Feb of 2006. Nothing before that
time. I can see the assignments in Usage view, but what I need to do is run
reports showing resource allocation combined from all projects. I haven't
attached all projects yet. I wanted to test this and make sure it works
first. It looks like it will if I can just figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Terri,

I don't know if you solved this problem yet, but if not here's something to
try:

View>Reports>Workload>Resource Usage>Edit
In Definitions tab change Row to Resources, and the drop down to it's right
to Percent Allocation
Make any other desired changes then hit OK>Select>Print
In the bottom left hand corner of the print dialoge box set your desired
date range.
