Resouce allocation/Resource pooling

Ashley McKown

Hello once again, my project is just about done and than I am going to leave
you guys alone i promise.

Here are my questions from today. If I have a project assigned to certain
resources, if I change the priority of the project to lets say 1000 will it
bump all the other projects from those resources down and put this one on
top, if changing the priority wont do it then what will, is there another
field.
Another question is, my project files I do not want to assign any start or
finish date i just want to assign the deadline so when i insert the project
(i use a resorce pool) into the master file is there a possibility that the
project will assign itself according to the availability of the resources?
Also all my projects when inserted into master file has to be in sequential
numbers, for example 10-20-2001 and then the next one inserted 10-20-2002,
but when i store them they have different names, is there a way to change the
name automatically when the stored project files are put into another folder?
Here is a problem that i am incurring very regularly, I know its just some
minor tweek that i have to take care of. It is demonstrted below in resource
usage format. The project itself is in half hour increments. but it is
doing this. The top line is the resource summary line and then the botton
two lines are the tasks that it is doing, the resource is assigned to 100%,
And if you were to look at it in resource allocation view it shows the bars
that the project works half an hour on one project and then another half an
hour on the other project and then goes back and forth between the two
projects. Any ideas how to solve this would be very helpful.
