resource allocation - newbie question

Hi
How can I set a task to start at the next available time?
If a insert a new task it has me doing them all on the
same day! The new task is not linked, I just want it put
on my next free day.
Thanks
Jo

Hi Jo

my first question is why the task isn't linked to a predecessor ... if you
can't do the task until your first "free" day, then this "free" day must be
determined by the duration of something -
however, assuming you want to have an unlinked task start on your next
"free" day - one approach would be to assign yourself as a resource to the
"previous" tasks and this task and then level the project using tools /
resource levelling / level now.
