Resource delay

if you assign people as a resource to complete tasks, if someone within that
group were to call in "sick" when they were supposed to work, can Project
show that task is now behind schedule because the resource was undermanned ?

MS Project will show the tasks as behind schedule if there has not been the
correct amount of progress and if you correctly update the schedule.
