Resource Groups - PS 2007

Hi, at the moment a task is assigned to a resource(s)
How can I change my setup that tasks are assigned to Groups, Ie
Project Manager, Engineer etc
This means as a resource I belong to a Engineer Group, any resource in
this group can see the tasks assigned to
the group and can then I can time in there timesheet to this task.

is this possible, do I work with generic resources, im not to sure how
to do it?

You should explore the Team Assignment pool feature which may or may not
meet your requirements. The limitation of this feature is that only one
person can grab the task at one time.
