Resource initial on bars

Hello All,

I want to set "Resource Initial" to appear on bars whenever I insert a new
task. Currently after developing the plan I used Format->Bar... and set them
to "resource Initial". But whenever I insert a new task it is putting
resource name in that bar.

I'm using MS Project 2003.

Hello Abid,

Try using Format > Bar Styles, select the bars for normal tasks and
change the Resource Names on the text tab to Resource Initials.
Depending upon the format of the Gantt chart, you may also need to
repeat the process for critical tasks. Making the change in Format >
Bar Styles will change all tasks including newly added tasks in the
view.
