resource levelling?

i am new to MSP 2003 and would like to know how resource levelling works?
i have just started project planning and in my resource sheet i have entered
resources' names manually. pls throw some light oon thiis topic.

Hi,

In case of overallocation of a resource due to more than one task, Leveling
will push forward the task with the lowest priority in order to solve the
overallocation.
That's all.
