Resource on a hammock task

Hi,

I've setup a hammock task for "Project Management" and I've been able to
setup a resource in other PM tools that only takes up 2 hours per day. How
would I do that in MS Project 2002? The same resource could be utilized for
the full 8 hours/day in other tasks but with regard to Project Management I
only want to allocate 2 hours/day.

Thanks,

Richard.

Richard,
Here is how I would do it. Since the hammock task duration varies as the
end points dictate, you need the work to contract and expand
accordingly. First make sure the hammock task is set for Fixed Units
(that's the default so it should already be set). Then assuming a normal
work day is 8 hours, 2 hours per day is an assignment level of 25%. Set
your project management to that assignment level on the hammock task and
you should be all set.

Hope this helps.
