I have experimented and ended up with a resource pool and 7 projects
associated with it. If I open up the resource pool and select to open all
the sharer files and then follow Tools->Resource Sharing->Share Resources to
get a list of the files associated with this resource file, the list of file
names in the box is correct.
BUT, when I press Window (top menu bar) it lists Project 1 and my resource
file. If I select Project 1, it appears that it is supposed to be a
concatenation of my 7 projects. Yes??
What I really get is one project listed 3 times and 4 other projects.
At least that is what it appears by looking at the task description.
But upon further inspection things seem odd.
If I click on the note to the left of the Task description, it tells me what
location it has picked up the project information from. Here are the 3
projects that appear to be the same:
1) from the Resources.mpp file
that should have been just resources, but I did iterate a number of
times and maybe it has old project information in it. If so, is it Safe to
open up the resource file and delete all the tasks and save the resource file?
2) from the file it should - this one is ok
3) from one of my other project files - but why didn't it pick up that
project's name? Why is it listing a different project's name?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide with these questions.
