I am trying to create a resource pool for 7 different project files, from 7
different, interacting departments. I am running Microsoft Standard
Project 2002, without the Project Server. I open all the files, in the
resource pool file I click on Tools, Resource Sharing, Share Resources, and
with Use Resources and Pool takes precedence bullets selected, select a file
from the dropdown menu. All well and good so far, resources are imported. I
then save the file and try importing resources from another file. This
overwrites the resources that I currently have in the Resource Pool! I am
following m'soft's instructions to the letter - why is this going wrong? The
files are all in the same folder, I'm trying this locally, and running
Windows XP Pro 2002 Service Pack 2. Any advice would be highly appreciated -
I really need to get this to work.
