Resource Usage / Group Report

Hi,

I have a project plan with 29 top level tasks in it, each of which has a
number of levels of sub tasks. I need to generate a report or view which
will show me how much time on a monthly basis each resource or group will be
spending on the top level task only. Any Ideas? If possible i would also
like to either export this information from Project to Excel or copy it to
Excel.

Hi Pete,

Try creating a custom group applied to the Task Usage view.
Group first by Outline Number
Then by Resource Group (assignment value)

Then if you add the Work field, you should show total work.

Zoom the right side to show months.

As far as exporting, you can export timescaled data to Excel but I'm afraid
not in the format you seek directly. Copy and paste should get you what you
are seeking however.
