Resource Usage view and manipulation

Hello,

I'm just getting to know Project 2000 and have set up a
master resource file that is separate from my project
files.

While trying different scenarios from my project folders,
I usually have the screen split to view the gantt chart
and the resource usage view.

The resource usage is set for Work and Actual Work. There
are times when I move the work hours to another date for a
resource leveling scenarios (tweaking). There are other
times when I try this and the figure that insert into the
Work row automatically get listed into the Actual Work row
(which then causes all types of problems because the
assumption is a percentage of work done when that isn't
the case).

Can anything be done about this so I can just continue
entering figures into the Work rows without the Actual
Work rows getting populated?

pls advise - Trevor

Hi,

Once a task is "100%complete" changing Work will also change Actual Work,
and the reverse.
You have a third value which provides all clarity and features you need,
namely Remaining Work.
