Resource View Summary Tasks

Here's a question for you. When you are in resource view you get a
listing of all resources with assigned tasks under them...ie

Joe Bloe
-task 1.1.1
-task 3.1.1

What I also need to see is the related summary tasks so the example would be

Joe Bloe
-task 1
-task 1.1
-task 1.1.1

-task 3
-task 3.1
-task 3.1.1

Is there a way to do this in views or with a report.

Mr.C,
Well, no but then again sort of. The reason summary lines don't show in
the Resource Usage view (or built in reports) is that they are not
assignments (unless resources are assigned at the summary level - not
recommended).

However, with the help of a little VBA, a custom report can be created
(in Excel for example), wherein whatever information is desired can be
shown.

Thanks John, I could probably do it in MS Access but I was wondering if
MS Project could do it
