Resources as Crews

Does Project allow you to assign several workers as a single resource and
then to peel away or even add certain workers from the resource as the task
progresses towards completion?

Hi Glenn,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

I don't know if I read you correctly, but provided you don't want to assign
them by name, you could call them, say, workers. Then in the Resource Sheet
view, double-click workers to bring up the Resource Information dialog. In
the General tab, you can create a profile of how many resources there are in
this group by changing the Units % and the date when the change takes place.

Project Enterprise version has "Resource Substitution". I have only seen the
marketing CD, but it sounds like what you want.
