Resources not receiving notification emails

Hi,

I'm new to Project, am struggling with this problem and can't find a
fix....any suggestions gratefully received!

We're running Project 2003 with only 5 or 6 small projects (less than 200
tasks) saved on the server. If I create a new project from scratch, the
resources receive the email notifications for the tasks assigned OK, can
import into Outlook etc with no problems.

However, there is just one project that is not sending out the emails and I
can't figure out why. Here's a bit of background:

-One of our directors installed Project 2007 on his laptop and created a
project locally. He wanted to publish and share it with some managers, so he
asked me how to do it. Obviously, his 2007 client isn't compatible with the
2003 server we are running so I had him save the project under 2003 format,
uninstalled Project 2007 and then reinstalled Project 2003.

-No issues opening the project locally, but I noticed that he had used local
resources and not the enterprise resources from the server.

-I then setup Project 2003 to connect to the server when opened and added
the correct enterprise resources to the project.

-Each task was then amended with the correct enterprise resource, the
project saved on the server and the project published.

-At this point I expected the resources to receive notification emails that
they had been assigned tasks, but this didn't happen.

-Thinking it may have something to do with local resources, I then deleted
them all from the project to leave only the enterprise resources.

-Still no joy and not sure what to try next...

If anyone has an idea, I'd be grateful, as I am running out of things to try.

Many thanks in advance,
Paul.

Paul,

If you have the original MPP with the local resources, try building
from enterprise and use the replace functionality to replace the
resources in the team builder. Then save and re publish the project.
