Hi

I have a problem where a resource has 5 days to complete a task but this
task will only take 30mins to complete. Entering a duration of 5 days
displays my resource as having worked for 40 hours, instead I need it to
display 30mins.

How do I enter this information?

Any help would be appreciated

Michael,
It sounds like you assigned the resource at 100%. What you want to do is
first remove the exiting resource assignment. Then ensure the task is
set as Fixed Duration with Effort Driven unchecked (i.e. off). Then you
can either enter a Work value of "30m" or "0.5h" followed by assigning a
resource, or assign a resource (at any value) and then change the Work
field to the desired value (i.e. 30m). The resource will then show up as
1%.
