Could someone tell me why a finish date would not
recalculate on a resource that has zero work days
assigned to it? Here is my example: I have a task that
has 12 resources assigned to it with a duration of
166.66days(1/13/05 - 9/2/05). It is a fixed units task.
Along the way I decided that I did not need two of the
resources on the task so I just zeroed the work days on
them. Now in an effort to lower my duration for this
task, I'm adjusting the percentage for each resource
(except the two that have zero) in order to get the
duration down to 50days. Now duration is 50days, but my
dates are 1/13/05 - 7/26/05, which is more that 50days. I
discovered that if I go and change the percentages for
the two resources with zero days then the dates are
corrected to 1/13/05-3/24/05, which is correct. If the
resource is zero why would it be a factor in the dates?
