Resources

Thanks in advance:
Project 2002 Question: I have a material resource say a Stud valued at 2.85
each and I enter that in the resource sheet (cost /use) collumn. I have
attached the resource to my gantt view with 25 units. I go to the cost table
and no matter what I do, it does not multiply the 2.85 x 25 units. I know it
must be a simple oversite on my part. I have entered all tasks as 100%
complete but no luck.

Hi,

Materials have no Cost/use, just plain cost. Use that field.

As Jan said. FYI, Cost per Use is an amount that is added into the cost
*once for each task* the resource is assigned to. If a load of your studs
had to be delivered for each task where they are used and there was a
delivery charge of $25 per load, while the studs themselves cost $2.50 each
you'd enter Standard Rate at $2.50 and cost per use of $25. Now a task that
had 100 studs assigned to it would have total cost of ($2.50 ea x 100 studs)
+ $25 delivery, or $275.00
