Retrieve lost Word text

hey there,

I was running my laptop on power only while typing away, i suddenly got up
and hence the plug came out and the computer shut off!! As a result I lost
what i was typing in Microsoft Word! Unfortunately I had not saved the
document at any point in time nor had it in any specific folder or file...

How do I retrieve lost (non-saved) text in Word after power out?

Re-start Word and, inshallah, you will see a message that the document was
recovered. (Word keeps track of what it's working on for precisely this
purpose.) However, whether it works depends somewhat on how long the
document had been open and exactly what Word was doing when the power went.

Failing that, ... sadness.
