Reverse the way messages are deleted?

OK, this is going to sound really silly to some, but it's driving me CRAZY!!
I'm new to doing it the "mac way" as I'm used to windows and MS Outlook.
When I delete a message in my inbox, Entourage 2008 automatically goes to the message ABOVE…one I've skipped or want to leave for later review.

HOW in the world do I get it to continue DOWN to the next UNOPENED message??
