Risk Management Software?

D

DTScheduler

We are currently evaluating some Risk Mgmt software that seems a bit out of
date - it's supposed to be able to import from MS Project but it has to be in
..mpx format. They are working on an upgrade but seems very outdated.

Any suggestions on Risk Mgmt Software? Specifically how to assess
schedule/cost impact of risks. Also, is the next version of MS Project going
to have any Risk Mgmt capabilities in it?

THANKS

Hi DTScheduler ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You might like to see Companion Product page, where there are other risk
packages. FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can
be seen at this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hello,

@Risk is very good if you want to model overall uncertainty what-ifs
for your plan, using best/worst dates for tasks etc. - the Monte-Carlo
approach.

If however you are looking for software to assist with the Project
Risk Management process (identify/evaluate/prioritise/mitigate
specific risks) then you might want to look at our p2msp product at
http://www.p2msp.com
