Rules Wizard woes

Justin

Hi,

I have two email accounts:
1. personal
2. work.

I setup two rules:
1. move email from personal account into personal folder
2. move email from work account into work folder

The problem is, when it moves them over, it marks them as read! I just
upgraded to XP Office 2k2, from Office 2000. I never had this problem
until the upgrade.

Please advise,
-Justin

In addition to what Diane said, check to make sure you don't have the
preview pane options set that mark messages as read. I don't know for sure
whether or not this could be a contributor to your problem, but it's worth
examining.

I don't speak for Smiths, and Smiths doesn't speak for me.

Neither of these options, that you and Diane mentioned, were checked.
Although in the Preview Pane options, the "Mark Item as Read when
Selection Changes" was checked. I unchecked that and hopefully that
will do it.

Thanks
