SAFE MODE

Publisher is giving a fatal error and says it can go into
safe mode to continue working. The user goes into it and
seems to be able to continue but I still can't figure out
why this is happening.

Same user/same computer. Gets WINGDINGS when filling out
an online form. It used to be just this one user on the
same computer but now I am starting to see the same thing
happen on another computer in the network. (Don't think
its a virus since everything is very well protected by
Inoculate)

Any ideas????

This sometimes happen when your OCR-A font is missing or damaged or some other system
font.
To reinstall system fonts, first insert your Windows installation CD in your drive.
Next, go to your PC's Start menu, choose Programs, Accessories, and then System
Tools. Drag your mouse down the list of tools until you see System Information. When
the System Information window opens, go to the Tools menu at the top and select
System File Checker.

The Windows System File Checker is a handy utility that will scan your system to see
what, if anything, has changed from the original installation. If a font is missing
or damaged, the System File Checker will replace it with a fresh version from the
installation CD. If you know which specific file needs fixing, you can skip the scan
and simply have the System File Checker replace this file.
