Save dialog box with Word 2003 even if no change made

With MS Word 2003:
- I open a Word document
- I make no change
- I close the document
- Word displays a dialog box asking if I want to save my changes

Workaround:
- I open a Word document
- I make no chage
- I save the document
- I close the document
- No dialog box is displayed

This append using Word automation AND manual operation.
It appends only with Word 2003, not with Excel or Powerpoint 2003.

Is there someone having the same problem?

Thanks

I've tried what is described in kb816473:
"On the Smart Tags tab, click to clear the Label text with smart tags check
box. "

But it doesn't work with my case.

Well there are many reasons why a document may be changed when opened -
field updates or macros actually changing documents are common causes. If it
happens with all documents then you may have a macro in either Normal.dot or
an AddIn.
