Save Project Offline - Copy to other PC - Then Back Online

R

Ryan O'Connell

I would like to save a MS Project file offline, by using
the save offline function. After that, I would like to
copy the (saved offline) file to a laptop, work with the
file at home, bring the file back to my work PC, copy it
back to the correct directory, and then save the project
online.

Does anyone know how to do this? The correct directories,
etc.

Thanks!

This hasn't changed in 2003. If you want to tempt fate, you can find the
file under your profile at:
<profilename>\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent. Make sure that you
don't change the name and that you return the file to the same location.

But just to underscore a point: Dont do this! :) Just check it in from
the first machine and then check it out to the new machine.
