Saved Password in Outlook 2002

My saved password does not stay saved. I have to re-
enter it everytime I open Outlook or sometimes when I
send a message. How do I fix it?

There have been several recent issues with passwords not being retained with
Outlook. For Outlook 2002, the SP1 solves many of these, so start there.

For Outlook 2000 or 2002 on Win 98, NT, or 2000:
