Saving Different Outline Levels Across Views

I want to create 2 different Gantt charts in my project,
one showing all detail tasks and the other rolling up to a
higher level outline. I can't find a way to have Project
save the different outline levels though across views...If
I expand the tasks for one they show as expanded in the
other. Am I missing an obvious way to do this?

To my knowledge, it can't be done. You have to expand or collapse as
needed.

Hi Scott,

You could create a filters to filter out the levels of outline you don't
wish to show. (Project>Filtered for> More Filters> New) Use the field
[Outline Level] test "Is less than or equal to" and specify the level you
want to view.

Then create a View (View>More Views> New or copy an existing view.) In the
view definition select the filter you created.
