Outline Levels in Different Views

Hi there, I have made 3 different views and used a different table for
each view. If I expand the outline levels in one view, I can see them in
the other views as well. If I have different tables, shouldn't they be
different for each view? If not, is there a way to keep the levels I
want for each view? Thanks.

Hello Tim,

Sorry, but the different expand/collapse settings applies to all
views. Consider creating filters to go with each view to filter the
list of tasks as needed. You may need to use some flag fields if
you are not using straight forward Outline Level settings.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks for the reply Julie. I'll try and use the flag fields to get the
exact view that I'm looking for. Thanks again.

Hi Julie,

I am not sure if your solution addresses a similar issue I am having. So, in
the normal Gantt/Entry view I have collapsed some outline levels. I go and
create some custom tables and views but when I try to go back to the normal
Gantt/Entry view, MS Project will not allow me expand the sections again. It
is like they are frozen and I get a message that refers to my custom view and
I have to delete my custom view in order to get the expand and collapse
functionality again. Does this make sense or have you seen this?
