Saving Folder Views

C

Carl Smith

Does anyone know if it's possible to save the mail folder view in the left
hand column of Outlook? I have about 12 IMAP accounts that I use and each
time I open Outlook I have to expand all of the views to how I want them -
takes a while to do each time!

Thanks - Carl.

Version of outlook? See help, about if unsure. Do you have the latest
updates installed?

Generally, no, it either always expands or never does or your expand state
is remembered. Some SPs added it... so make sure you have the latest.

Hi Diane,

Thanks for the reply. The version is Outlook 2003 SP2 with all latest
patches applied. How would I keep it so all folders were expanding upon
opening then? That would be good enough.

Mine always expand with sp2 - I think in this version, it happens when new
mail arrives in the folder.

Mine doesn't seem to do that - are you using IMAP folders?

I have a mix of account types - at least one of each. <g> I don't have IMAP
set for autodownload, so it wouldn't - but I also wouldn't be surprised if
it didn't work with imap, as other things don't either.

Yeh - bloody annoying to be honest as mine does tend to crash a fair bit
which means restarting and re-opening all the folders :(
