Missy

I am having an issue with saving documents in Word 2003 on windows XP Home
edition. I used to be able to click the "disk" icon before on an existing
document but when I do that now, the FLOPPY drive starts making awful noises
and it won't let me save it until I put a floppy in! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried to insert your disk before you save
Word is searching for the last place that you backed up to, floppy/ my documents file/cd drive, etc... at your prompt to save/save as.

Hi Chris,
My niece used the computer and saved to the floppy. I don't need my
documents saved to the floppy. How can I change this behavior to where it
saves to my documents again? Just do a "save as" in my documents folder?

Thank You,

Missy

Now, wouldn't it have been easier to have tried that *BEFORE* whining?!

WHINING????????????

Is this not a newsgroup for people who are having issues they don't know how
to resolve? I am so sorry I am not smart enough to have figured out what
the problem was before coming here. Your comment was not needed.

Word for windows ?
In the Word menu, go to Tools/ Options/Folders/
Tell word that your preferred folder for storing documents is on C:
Might help.
