Saving .pdf files

Can you please tell me how to save a .pdf file from an
internet website to my personal computer in either
WordPerfect or Microsoft Word?

Thanx Judy

You really can't because the PDF (portable document format) is basically a
screen capture (or printed) version of a wordprocessed document. The whole
point of a PDF is to protect the document so someone can't just copy and
paste into their word-processing program. If you own the full package of
Adobe Acrobat, you have a lot more flexibility with PDF files.

If you open a PDF file (using the Reader), click on the "T" text tool, you
can select text and copy it, but what you will find out is that you are
limited to a page at a time and each line is basically a hard-returned line
and not a real paragraph, like you would get when typing in Word. It makes
for a lot of work to "acquire" it.

Hope this helps some!
