Saving Projects Offline. Can we take the file with us?

When saving a project offline, can we work on the file on another
computer?

Here's the scenario:
1) I log into my Project Server on my office network
2) I open up the project
3) I save it offline
4) I want to work on the file on my home computer. So, I take the file
home with me.
5) I work on it at home
6) I go back to the office and upload the changed file to my computer
7) I save it online: Changes are kept.

Is there anyway to do this?

there is a way to do it... its complicated .... and you need to have admin
rights on the machine where you are saving the file on (your laptop in this
case)

I am working on the same kind of solution on my current project. I can
provide more details if you need
