scan a picture and turn it into a jigsaw in pwr pt or word?

Can I take a picture that is scanned into either word or power point....and
then have that picture split up into 10 pieces...and show 1o% of the picture
on slide 1
10% plus 10% on slide 2
10%, 10% plus 10% on slide 3 etc....

When you insert (Copy and paste 9 more similar slides first), then click on
the picture on the first slide, which will brings up a picture tool. If not,
click View > Toolbars > Picture. You can click on crop, which is the 7th icon
on the picture toolbar. Then, crop to remove the unwanted area. Do this to
the rest of the slides.

Alternately, you can crop the picture in the format picture properties.
Right click on the picture, click format picture. Go to the picture tab, then
modify the Crop From.

If you master this technique, you will be able to do that and more:

Get some vector jigsaw shapes and set them to background. You can then split
the slide for each new shape. Or just animate them in one by one.
