Hi Henry,
MS Office 2003 has its own OCR program, MS Office Document
Imaging, that was not available in Office 2000 or earlier
and it does not support reading PDF documents. Check to
see what 3rd party scanning/OCR software is being used on the
other PCs. You may need to start it manually from Start=>Programs
if you have the same software.

When scanning a document to my computer Office 2003 will not OCR a PDF into a
Word document. Others in office who have 98 and 2000 will work. >>
