screen size

I am quite new with Frontpage and have a question. On my
home computer the site looks great. When I go to work
and pull up my site it is too large for the screen and I
have to scroll left and right to see the page. What am I
doing wrong?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Roy,
Thanks for responding. No I don't have the same
resolution. Which resolution should I be working with in
Frontpage? When I pull up other web sites they look fine
on both my home computer and work computer. The web site
is www.agentfreehomes.com. Thanks for your help.

Ryan-
I would suggest sizing your tables and other non-text
elements based on percentages and not pixels. You may also
want to set your resolution to 800x600 when building the
site.

Ryan:

It sounds like you are developing the site at a high resolution at home
(1024x768?) and viewing on a low resolution at work (640x480 or 800x600?)
You need to design the page for the intended viewing resolution. Try going
home and changing your resolution to a lower value, redoing the page then
viewing at home. Alternatively, you could increase the resolution at work.

I will try that.. Thanks for the info. Is there a
standard resolution you should develop a web site with?
If I would change the resolution at work that would not
resolve the situation for people visiting my site.
Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan,

I usually try to make all my sites best viewable at the 800 x 600
setting. After looking at your site, it looks like you set your tables to
work best under a 1024 x 768 setting. I generally agree with Mike Mueller
suggestion to make your tables fit within a "percentage" instead of a fixed
pixel width, though I certainly understand a desire to keep it all
contained. My employer actually prefers to keep it all contained, so please
feel free to look at our code (www.sinclairoil.com, www.grandamerica.com,
www.snowbasin.com, www.littleamerica.com).
