Hi Bill,
Some mouse controls have an AutoScroll feature that is activated by pressing
the scroll wheel in the center of the mouse between the two buttons. Once
this is activated, moving the mouse upwards on the page causes the screen to
scroll up wards at a proportional rate (likewise, downward scrolls
downwards).
Generally, this feature is not of any real use in PowerPoint and should not
be used. If it starts again, try pressing down on the mouse wheel and see
if the auto-scroll goes away.
