Scrolling big documents while opening

Hello, im using Word2003, when I open a large Word document it displays before the whole document is loaded. If I use the scroll bar to scroll down it jump irritating too far in the document

Is there any way to configure Word to open the whole document before I can start working on it

The work around is very tricky and slow, and you cannot use your doc
for a good, say, 30 seconds or so (big doc, linked pix). This is more
annoying than what you are putting up with now in my book.

You need to write VBA in an AutoOpen macro to select the end of the
document, and wiggle cursor there then iterate every linked picture
and select them.
