Select text question

Mel

I read somewhere that there are short cuts to "select" sentences, entire
paragraph and the entire document text. I can't remember the short cuts.
Can anyone help?

Ctrl+click in a sentence will select it (keeping in mind that a "sentence"
is a text string that ends with a period, question mark, or exclamation
point, so the selection may be truncated if you have abbreviations in the
text). Double-click will select a word, triple-click a paragraph. You can
also select a paragraph by double-clicking in the left margin when the arrow
is pointing to it. Ctrl+click in the left margin will select the entire
document, as will Ctrl+A.

All these shortcuts and many others will be found in the Help topic "Select
text and graphics." Another Help topic, "Keyboard shortcuts," provides
shortcuts for other operations.

Press F8 repeatedly, and watch the screen.
