Selecting pictures and files

In the past I was able to select more then one pictures or files with my crtl key holding down or shift and ctrl in conjunction. Right now I cannot do that not in Publisher, not in Word and not even Windows Explorer. Anybody has an idea what to do?

Reboot your computer and try again.

Try both Ctrl keys on your keyboard as one may be broken.
